The Pretend Birthday!

That is what Wyatt calls it. I call it the Storm before the Quiet. We had his big #5 birthday party on Saturday the 23rd but his Birthday is actually the 27th.
This is what it looked like before the party...

There were lots of little finger marks on that cake.
The beating of the pinata. As I said before, the directions called for only 3 layers of paper mache. Smart me, thought it might not hold all the goodies inside so I put a total of 6 layers on. Well lets just say that pinata took quite a beating and everyone got to hit it at least 3 times. Luckily we had 13 year old Dedra there. She gave it about 4 good whacks and it broke open. FINALLY! Thanks Dedra!
The Shrine Clowns got there as the pinata was being beaten! WOW, wow, WOW, what a hit they were! All the kids loved them except Rylee and Claire. That is great odds for 4 clowns.
IT WAS FUN, FOR ALL AGES!

Holy cow! YOu guys had a TON of people there! WOW! I am amazed at how big that party was. Wyatt must have felt very special.
